Why would they "Dumb Down" the show for kids

That�s maybe the truth but Scully and his bunch of writers didn�t get it. There are lots of young people (but not all of them) out there who would enjoy a serious episode more than a stupid one (so once again sorry for generalizing too much in my other post) but it seems that the producers don�t know.

They think the old fans are not important any longer and they have to make a new style for all the new and young fans. For some strange reason they also think todays young fans are different from those 12 years ago and like South Park humour more than wit and satire. That�s certainly right for a group of new fans (and it�s no small group) but the writers are paying no respect to the older fans *and* to new and younger fans who have a much better taste than I thought.

A debate isn't needed. I was once a skeptic, thinking SP was one of the malignant tumors in society, yet upon actually seeing it, I realized it is a heck of a lot better than the Simpsons.
