What changed? Simpsons last year was stale and boring

But this year seems to be spot on, less contrived weirdness and reliance on guest stars, and more flat out guffaw inducing humor.

So I'm a n00b, what changed?

Patterns, trends, etc. If we lay these ideas all out on the table, they might not look much different than your comment. They'd be general comments; probably nothing specific. For specific comments, we have to get specific... as in "such and such a line/joke/character"... and that takes a lot of effort, and time.

If any of us could sum up the ideal concept of "The Simpsons", it would be easier to say "what changed"... in more specific ways.
