How old are the main voice actors? Also, has there been any instance where a main voice has had to be replaced for any episodes/shorts? Last Question - how many have done the voice of Maggie when they had her talk - like when Bart ruined Thanksgiving and they showed Lisa's first word?

As for replacements go -- Maggie Roswell (Maude Flanders, Ms. Hoover, Helen Lovejoy) left the show in 1999 and Marcia Mitzman Gaven took over her characters. Maude was killed shortly after (Gaven did do her voice in a few shows, and it's very obvious that it's a different actress). Roswell returned to the show in 2002.

That all depends on the nature of the break, and how quickly the person heals. I broke my leg the day after I turned 13...it was a spiral fracture. I was in a full length cast for 3 months, a half leg cast for 2 and a removable "air cast" for another 2.
