Did George Bush ever conplain about the episode "Two Bad Neighbors" ?

And If so,

then where can I get info on what he said or what happend during the conterversy ?

That episode, and the cold open from another episode where Bart says: "Hey, we're just like the Waltons: we're waiting for an end to the depression too." were both in reaction to Bush's statement that American families on television should be "more like the Walton's and less like the Simpson's."

Bush's comments were pure conservative BS of course, confusing nostalgia with reality and "what is" with "what should be."

Answering the original poster's question: there was no controversy -- Bush never publicly complained. Barbara Bush did comment that she thought the episode was funny.

Really, even though she gave James L. Brooks a drop dead look when she meet him in person ?
