Could anything be as mind-numbingly, gut-wrenchingly putrid as the 12/15 episode? Not until the 12/22 episode, probably.
Every week it just gets worse. You think you've seen the Worst Episode Ever, and then they put out another one.
GAWD, was this thing bad. Why do I even watch it anymore? To see how bad it can GET, I suppose. Or maybe I just hate myself.

You can write your three-word review of next week's episode now; it's a rerun of DABF02 (I liked it for some reasons and disliked it for others, but all considered it's a good Lisa episode). And should I take it from your comment below that you only like seven episodes, possibly in addition to the 48 Ullman shorts (or, if you're going chronologically instead of production order, only the Ullman shorts)?

Therefore I have empirically proven that "AS,AD" does not qualify for the clip show exemption.

I don't consider clip shows as actual episodes. Besides, the "Paint Your Wagon" spoof was hilarious. To be considered the "worst episode ever", it shouldn't contain any worthwhile laughs.

It seems people havebeen peddling the whole "Simpsons aren't as good as they used to be" / "Worst episode ever" schtick since they left Tracy Ullman. Like this review in one of the episode capsules:
