Well, I was glad to see that Homer's turning green was actually feasible - the previews gave me the impression that he would spontaneously turn into the hulk, which would just be ridiculous...but how didn't his clothes turn green? Also, I guess the whole "Louis Lane" thing was just a joke - though I suppose it would be ok for CBG to have a name, it would be hard to find one that people could agree was his name...and Louis Lane wouldn't be appropriate for a regular character, I think.
On the whole, I enjoyed it...act 2 was the strongest, I thought, but a few things I didn't like: -It was still a little too meta-referential -Ralph was in the 4th grade classroom with no explanation -With a few exceptions, it doesn't seem like they've been able to get the viewers emotionally involved in the past few seasons when there's a chance for it - the most recent one that springs to mind is Mother Simpson, and that was 6 years ago. But oh well...that might be more of a personal thing for me.
Anyway, despite that, I liked it, and it had a good use of a celebrity appearance...not like I'm any sort of authority on quality control or anything...this is (quite obviously) more of a stream of consciousness. I'd say A-/B+.
PS. A few capsule things if no one's mentioned them yet... -The Bin Laden in a Blender thing is reminiscent of the Hamster in a Microwave shockwave site -9F01, the Flanderses sing the ark song (Does this have a name? It's not unique to the Simpsons, I know that) -4F12, this is sort of an opposite thing - in that episode, Homer used his voice for another character, and here some random guy (voiced by DC, I assume) did a Homer voice for Homer! -Clearly there's a reference to the Tracey Ullman shorts - in fact, I think it was on the interview with MG on the season 1 dvd where he said that he expected them to clean up his drawings a little, but they just animated what he drew - the same thing happened here. -Isn't it spelled "ay caramba"? (The Bartoon end screen had ay carumba)
