First of all, I wanna to say HI, EVERYBODY! :D

I'm new to this group, and also new to newsgroups so I joined this group cuz I am biggest fan of Simpsons here, in my town...

And I have one question...

in episode "EABF15 - Brake My Wife, Please" Homer invited hole town... And there was a some singer there too... So I'm wondering who was that and that song he was singing with Homer... Can I download it somewhere??? I can't get it out of my head...

that would be it.. so thanks in advance...

and one more thing. As I've already wrote I am new to this but I've hear that users can upload their stuff to news server... So.. afor example can i upload sth to this group? or can I at least download something if anyone uploaded it through google groups???

That's more than one question.

Anyway, I couldn't remember the episode immediately, and there's no capsule on SNPP yet, so I found the answer (Jackson Browne) here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brake_My_Wife,_Please

As for downloading that somewhere, you can probably buy it for 99 cents online.

1. What state is your town in? 2. Does it have a monorail? 3. Stay away from mastic, rob wade, and, um, there are other kooks here, too. You will figure it out. 4. Don't ask us if Smithers is black, or any other FAQ question. PLEASE. 5. Don't ask us any questions that have answers that include the words "Baker" or "Street". 6. The humor here is very sarcastic and dry. We pepper the conversations with lines from the show. In fact, sometimes we try to conduct conversations using as many lines from the show as possible. Asking a non-FAQ question will often get you bombarded with sarcastic comments that are just obscure lines from the show. The more obscure, the more we laugh. 7. So, as they said in the gay pride parade scene "GET USED TO IT". 8. STAY AWAY FROM THE WEST SIDE! 9. Be very suspicious of people with weird nicknames. They are the worst!

You have to be registered. Otherwise we can't see your postings and won't respond to them.

Since you are a newbie. I will explain this joke. Once someone who was a newbie posted the following:

"Do you have to be registered to post here?" "Can you see my posting?"

So we responded:

"No, we cannot see your posting."

I responded to this person with a separate post that said:

"Don't respond to my posting unless you can see it."

And the diligent members of this ng resisted temptation, and to this day, years later, nobody has responded to that particular posting of mine. That is the kind of irreverent sarcasm you will have to put up with here.

In order to join this ng, you have to be initiated. Let the initiation begin. The newbies in this ng must take the Leap of Faith. If you survive this five-story plunge, your character will be proven.

Happy landings!

You: I think I have to do it again. My blindfold came off.

Xino Kiner leads the newbit to the next test.

This ritual is called...Crossing the Desert. The newbie gets paddled in the but by Captain Infinity, Xino Kiner, and R Flowers.

And this, we call the Unblinking Eye. And after that, there will be the Paddling of the Swollen Ass...With Paddles.

At last, the newbie takes the final oath.

And by the sacred parchment, I swear that if I reveal the secrets of the Stonecutters, may my stomach become bloated and my head be plucked of all but three hairs.

Thank you http://www.snpp.com/episodes/2F09.html, for helping me tease the new person.

well... i see that you asked me some questions so i'll do my best to answer them...

1. my town is the samll one, GRADACAC, in Bosnia (not Herzegovina) 2. yes... it has monorail but it isn't in function since war 3. ok... i'll be aware of that 4.ok 5. also ok 6. i also love to laugh... very mcuh.. so any humor is good for me... 7. i have allready get used 8. this.. i am not sure did i get it... by west side you mean west springfield or shellbyville (not sure did i spelled good) or whatever 9. i am already suspicious...

All the questions were jokes. What state is your town in? Well, NOBODY KNOWS what state Springfield is in. Sorry to hear about the war and the monorail, but do you remember the episode where Springfield got a monorail? Hence my monorail question. As for the WEST SIDE, The Springfield realt estate agent Kookie Kwan is always yelling "STAY AWAY FROM THE WEST SIDE". As for #9, if you are saying you are suspicious, you are already enjoying the ng. Which is good.

Never ask questions like "what song was played in such and such a scene in such and such an episode" unless the question has never been asked before. And NEVER, NEVER, ask "what song did Lisa play at the end of the 'Lisa's Sax' episode"? The answer to that question is BAKER STREET (see my #5 above).

I'll have Lyle Langley give you a quote for repairs, he should have recovered by now....

Very wise. You'll go far.

Hi, welcome to the group. Don't worry about your English not being perfect. Most of the posters here whose first language is English can't speak it either.

What is your first language? Can you watch The Simpsons in that language?
