Not bad - very topical, and very particular to this exact election year, but seems to have enough going for it in a general sense. (I assume, for example, that the crying is supposed to be a Glenn Beck reference, and the gravy boat = tea party, but they work well without those specific anchors.) I'm reminded of KABF03 (E Pluribus Wiggum, and don't you dare put a period after the E) - in fact, in production order exactly 4 years prior to this - with its similar mirroring of the Republican primary process, which hasn't gotten much less outlandish. Also, the fake dream was a nice touch, and has a feeling of old-style good silliness. Not much else to write this time around, though.

Other stuff -Homer mentions that his shoulders are where he carries his stress. Isn't there a similar moment in a previous episode, or am I thinking of some other show or work? -The opening setpiece at the airport and new regulations/procedures was nicely done - I have to assume that the new 50 pound weight limit on checked bags and the last-minute shuffle is widespread enough that I'm not the only one who does it, but I enjoyed that in particular. I've hit 50.0 by sheer accident a few times, or with the help of a bathroom scale gotten close enough that I can get it down at the ticket desk by moving a book or something to my carry-on. At least it doesn't take too long or become comical.
