Just saw this in NOW Magazine this morning - OFF's two Canadians on the production team, Tim Long and Joel Cohen, will be in Toronto Feb. 13th at the Canadian Film Centre's Test Pattern series to have a screening and discussion about The Simpsons - four days before the showing of the episode "The Bart Gets What He Wants", where OFF themselves come to visit our fair city!

even better - moderating the event is Colin Mochrie, he of Whose Line Is It Anyway and This Hour Has 22 Minutes fame.
If you're interested, the event happens 7:30 PM at the Isabel Bader Theatre, 93 Charles Street West, Toronto (around Avenue Road) Tickets are $20, and go on sale at the theatre box office the day of the show starting at 10:00 AM .
In related news, NOW notices that Toronto Mayor Mel Lastman is NOT going to be declaring a Simpsons Day in honour of OFF's visit, despite his doing so for other celebrities who came to visit like the Spice Girls and Jackie Chan. NOW speculates it may have to do with Mayor Mel's fear of being compared to Springfield's Mayor "Diamond Joe" Quimby - understandable, considering our Mayor's elephantine blunders which included the ethnic slur he made last year which cost Toronto its 2008 Olympic bid, threatening to kill a journalist who reported on his wife's arrest for shoplifting, shaking hands with and receiving a T-shirt from a member of the Hell's Angels, currently being sued by two men who were sired in an affair Hizzoner had with an employee at his furniture store for support.......
