I will answer you directly because you are sure no one will. No one is sure when season 2 are coming out. Most people have heard sometime before christmas but that is not confirmed. In a recent interview Al Jean said the "release is iminent" so whatever you think that means.

Seeing that most newshosts hold messages for a good length of time (certainly at least a week), when you downloaded the headers for this group it's very likely that somewhere amongst them was this very question and its answer. Did you bother to look for it before you posted the question yourself?

Well in his defense, I tried to do a search of the posts I have on my computer containing the subject "dvd" "second season" and "season 2" and I didn't get any answers to his question. His question was asked once before, and before christmas was implied by the questioner, but there was no answer.

I think that it may be that those of us who are waiting for the second season dvd to be released feel it's a tired topic to ask about the release date because we think about it ourselves so friggin' much... Or maybe it's just a tired topic...

I think this is a valid question, and those of us who read this group daily get tired of answering the same things every day. For the record, I believe it was said that the Second Season of Simpsons DVD were postponed until February 2002. The reason people berate and criticize and make jokes is that we get asked the same things over and over and over and over and over and over and (you see where I'm going with this) over and over again.

It would be nice to have a simple, monthly FAQ or something that only contained most recently asked questions. Then again, it pays to read all messages. When someone comes on the group demanding an answer we've given out many times, or seen at least a few times, not many of us even bother to answer anymore. I've re-titled the thread so that others may find this info on Season 2 DVD. In a phrase: "lurking pays".

Fox has yet to officially announce when the second and third season DVD sets will be released, but they are supposedly going to release one set every six months.
