Really? When the characters turn mean, I dunno....just isn't funny to me.

It's called "absurdity." It is not mean.

Stop confining your conception of this show.

I have to admit, as much as I've hated the vast majority of the recent
episodes, I did like the "I rob now" line.

"Man, you try to go through life, you try to be nice to people, you struggle to resist the urge to punch 'em in the face, and for what?! For some pimply little puke to treat you like dirt unless you're on a team. Well, I'm better than dirt- well, most kinds of dirt. I mean, not that fancy, store-bought dirt. That stuff's loaded with nutrients. I- I can't compete with that stuff."

Yep, I certainly chuckled...

I thouht it was mildly funny....it warranted a chuckle....or gaffaw.....anyway, Moe's always had the shotgun....and he's kind of a mean guy anyway.

My wife and I were laughing pretty hard at it. This is Moe. You watch Simpsons long enough that you get a feel for all the characters, and this shady side of Moe is always great. Remember when he had the stolen pandas in the back of the bar? How about the whale?

Good ol' Moe.

The pandas and whale were excellent--but this just wasn't as creative. It falls under the category of "small chuckle."

The best moe moment ever was when Barney gave up beer. He was sitting on a park bench at the end and said "Boy am I glad to have that monkey off my back" as he was chugging down a six pack of coffee. It cuts to a shot of Moe standing by an expresso cart saying "Nobody gets away from Moe, nobody" And then he pulls a level and smoke covers him. Hee hee hee.

I just thought he was just smoothing over some ripples in the continuity. You know, "Since when does Moe rob people?" and whatnot.
