Happy Birthday, OFF

I believe that tomorrow, 19 April, is the 16th anniversary of the first television appearance of The Simpsons. They were a sketch on The Tracy Ullmann Show before getting their spinoff in 1989. Of course, that was when Fox wanted 32 new shows to fill a few holes in their programming lineup, and the producers weren't up to it ....

ah, the good ole days.

When FOX only was able to program a couple days a week. They started out targeting the abysmal Saturday lineup and came out on top.

Remember Tour of Duty and 21 Jumpstreet? Those were good shows.

Some say they started going down the gutter with The Simpsons. I say it was Married with Children. But either way, they're nothing like when they started

Yeah, those were the days, before Fox tried these stupid reality programs. I mean Monica Lewinski! Does anybody else find the concept hilarious/sickening? And why do they think I need to see inside the life of Michael Jackson (*coughs*apervert*coughs*)?
