According to http://www.angelfire.com/trek/proutsy/ on Sunday the Simpsons will move into a tie for tenth most prolific weekly American show with fictional content. Take that, Ian Ziering et al.!
If the Simpsons pack it in after Season 16, a temporary fifth spot is the best we can hope for, and that's probably a stretch. Law and Order, of course, will go on as long as Sam Waterston is provided with a fresh prosecutrix from time to time to keep him hale and ruddy.
