The Other Marge Simpson

Has anyone noticed any difference in the last few years between the "new" Marge Simpson and the "real" Marge Simpson?

I'm referring to the episode where Homer and Marge are dancing and Homer tosses Marge into the air. A "new" Marge enters through the front door immediately afterwards and says "wow, a fifties diner" or some-such thing.

Has the other Marge ever tried to regain her spot and destroy the usurper? Is the real Marge preparing her memoirs or even better, a tell-all book? Is the new Marge after the power or the money?

I can't tell if this is serious or not. Either way, I think the intent of that scene is to show just how high up Homer tossed her. She came back down and hit her head somethin' fierce. Enough to damage her short-term memory anyway.
