GOD FATHER

Just loved the God Father ref in this episode, one of my favorite movies. I saw another old episode last night with another reference to that movie, when Lisa woke up with a horse in her bed (when homer bought her a pony) Another that I just remembered is when Homer becomes a food critic and Luigi said that a friend of his sent him a horse head and homer ate it and gave it a bad review "True story". Can anyone else think of other references to this movie. Thanks

"Godfather" is one word. When I saw the header I thought this was going to be some sort of Flanderesque religious rant. Whew.

But, off the top of my head, I know that the scene with the party at Burns' mansion for all the power plant employees in one of the older episodes has the same layout and gazebo as the party at Michael Corleone's Nevada mansion at the beginning of Godfather II. Also, when Bart is fingered as the head of Fat Tony's crime gang, the hearings with the investigators, including the big poster on the easel showing the crime organization hierarchy, is a spoof of the scene in Godfather II when Michael Corleone is testifying before the Senate Committee.
