IF ANYONE AT FOX READS THIS NEWSGROUP

the execs at FOX SUCK hardcore... TWICE I miss king of the hill because of this scenario...

a football game is on and it ends with plenty of time between it and king of the hill

they decide to switch to ANOTHER FREAKING GAME and that game goes just a few minutes past 7:30 (eastern time)

Then they TALK FOR 30 MINUTES scores and what not...

When fox used to have this problem, they would just show the shows a little later and everything would be delayed a few minutes... This is twice now that I missed King of the Hill for this...

Fox does not care about their own programming.... Why are they such morons. Lets see what would get more viewers... 1) a new show from a series that is going into its 6th season or 2) scores from games that people aready know...

one flaw in your analysis: king of the hill sucks. football's cool. plus the game was in OT so they had no choice.

King of the Hill is O.K.... What pisses me off is I haven't seen Futurama in about six months

you honestly think that KOTH is not better written then say the last 3 or so years of Simpsons? It is one of the smartest and wittiest shows on television... plus it at least has a little heart to it, which is something that the simpsons cannot do even when they make a "serious" episode. Remember Neddy opening the bibleland? Boy that brings a tear to your eye... Mike Judge could kick Mike Scully's butt any day of the week in a humor fight.

professional football is not cool... who needs to see men in their late 20's and 30's get millions of dollars to hit each other.... Ill take college football any day of the week.. there they only get thousands of dollars to hit each other...

see you are missing another point... it was a game that they went into "in progress". I have no attachment to it anyway since no one saw it in its entirety anyway.

Anyway, if I had a choice between KOTH or last three years of the simpsons I would pick the simpsons. Seriosuly, KOTH SUCKS. How could you watch that crap?

Here is a question, why is KOTH on every sunday and I can't seem to see Futurama at all?

honestly, I like Futurama and KOTH equally and Simpsons a little less over the past few seasons. I think the easiest solution for Fox would be to move the two shows (Futurama and KOTH) back to Tuesday night or whenever is convenient so they can have their cake and eat it too...

I really dont know why they moved the tow shows back to Sunday night in the first place...

It is a matter of opinion that you do not like KOTH and sure I can respect that. What I cannot respect is that Fox advertises a show and people want to watch the show and then just when the show is about to come on they show another football game instead...

Personally I don't care much for either KOTH or football. And yes KOTH is better than "The Simpsons" has been recently, but that's not saying a lot.

Last year during the Stanley Cup Playoffs, a great game was in overtime (the finals, if I remember correctly) and CBC cut away for some debate promising to show the winning goal "right after it happens." And NOBODY messes with Canadians and their hockey. Rest assured I was on the internet within minutes registering my disgust.

King of The Hill sucks and I'm glad as hell I got to see the end of the Oakland/Cardinals game instead.

They didn't know how long OT would last. It only lasted maybe 5 or so minutes, but it could have theoretically taken the whole half hour with clock stoppages and such. The post-game show is an important part of an NFL broadcast, almost required under FOX's NFL contract due to ad sales.

Football will always pre-empt regular programming. KOTH is good, but u can see it next week. You didn't know the outcome of the cards-raiders game cuz it went into OT. I rather enjoyed it. As for just starting the show late, I never remember this happening, at least not since local FOX stations started having late-night news shows. I just wanna see my Futurama at 7.

They only did this because they had already decided not to show KOTH and they were padding the time until The Simpsons started.

And they still do this - ask anybody at alt.tv.futurama. However, there's an unwritten rule: when a half-hour show is delayed for 15 minutes (which KOTH was - remember, it was past 7:45 when the Raiders game ended AND I CAN'T BELIEVE THE RAIDERS LOST LIKE THAT but that's another story), it's pulled from the schedule that night.

It's almost as bad on the west coast - the tag at the end of Futurama says "An all-new King Of The Hill is next!", but as the new episode was pulled in the east, they show a rerun in the west.

Remember one thing: the worst football game invariably gets better ratings than the best of whatever else Fox shows on Sunday night, so when given the choice, Fox sticks with football.
