Error in DABF08- "Tales from the Public Domain"

Hi, I've been lurking here for some time and I've decided to post an error which has gone unnoticed. Anyway, just so you know, I'm pretty much a big Simpsons fans as I've seen 99% of all the episodes (I can't remember how that Troy McClure quote goes about fans who claim they've seen every episodes). I was going to post asking whats required for initiation, like if I have to save the life of an a.t.s-er or if I have to take a leap of faith but thats despite the point. Anyway, I noticed an error in last night's episode, "Tales from the Public Domain". In the Joan of Arc bit, they show the French flag flying over whats suppose to be France. The problem is - that flag wasn't adopted till the French Revolution in the 1790s. The Hundred Year's War between France and England took place in the 1400s, if my knowledge of European history serves me right. I mean, did some robot whos best friend is a talking pie travel back in time for some reason and plant that flag there? I just wanted to point that out.

Sarcasm aside, that's a pretty interesting piece of trivia. It's impossible for the writers to check every fact, and they can't really be blamed for that anachronism - but for my part, that's one thing I like reading about in the capsules, since it makes me feel smarter.

Btw, the quote you're thinking of is from the beginning of act III of The Simpsons 138th Episode Spectacular:
