I pre-ordered Season 2 a while back, and I got confirmation today that the DVD shipped YESTERDAY?!? I thought the Season 2 DVD wasn't suppose to be released until 06-Aug-2002?!?!
I guess I'll be enjoying the DVD tomorrow.

Some online stores ship it a few days early to make sure you get it by the release date. Not all, but some. Gotta realize that these businesses probably get the products a week or two before it's officially released to make sure they have it in stock. Where did you order from? I chose amazon.com but I haven't received confirmation yet.

Well crap, I just checked the status of my order at Amazon and it says the shipping estimate is Aug. 8th and the delivery estimate is Aug. 12!!!! D'oh!
I swear, if I see the damn thing at Wal-Mart before I get it in the mail, I'm gonna be pissed!
My order thinks it's shipping on June 12th...i emailed them to make sure they know what's going on, feeling very much like the CBG while doing so - they shipped season 1 a day or two before the release (and that was even a few weeks after the wtc attacks), so i don't know what's wrong with yours...when did you order it? maybe they have so many orders they had to put the later orders a few days later.

I ordered mine on July 17th. What I'm REALLY upset about is that the official release is Aug. 6th, and yet they plan to wait till Aug. 8th to ship it >:(
When you advance-ordered from Amazon, did they debit or charge you when you placed the order, or do they do it right before they ship it? Maybe if I haven't already been charged for it, I can cancel the order and just look for it at the stores around town. I dunno if I can wait an extra week, LOL
I'd email this reply to you, but it might be helpful for others who don't use amazon a lot. Yes, when you pre-order they don't deduct/charge from your accout until it goes into the shipping phase. You'll know when this happens when you get an email saying so and you can't edit your order anymore (gift options, etc) from the amazon page. In fact, I've done that a few times so I can "save" a good price - the Back to the Future trilogy is due out in December; I plan to ask for it for Christmas, but if the stores hike up the prices I'll let amazon send it to me.

I was at my local Sam's Club in KY and they already had the DVD set out for sale (Friday, Aug. 2nd). It was $35.99 and I couldn't pass it up. I had plans of buying it on Tuesday at BestBuy. The funny thing is that when scanned, an error message kept appearing that was different than normal register scanner screw-ups. Like it wasn't in the system yet or something. A manager pulled some strings on the register and manually rang it up. It is a treat to have all weekend to watch this. I can't wait.
