What are the ages of Rod and Todd Flanders?
We see them during the assembly at Springfield Elementary. We could assume they attend classes there. We have yet to see them in class. They are not in Lisa's or Bart's classes, or when they both went to 3rd Grade.

My theory is that Rod and Todd are actually both 10 years old, and are twins. Look at the "My Sister, My Sitter" capsule (http://www.snpp.com/episodes/4F13), and you will see my reason behind this choice:
8F16 (Bart the Lover): Todd is in Bart's class (meaning he'd be the same age as Bart, and AFAIK, neither has failed a grade, though Bart came close in 7F03 (Bart Gets an F).) And RobV, Todd _has_ been in Bart's class. (Of course, just passing the 4th grade doesn't mean you go into the 5th; I guess you just need to do exceptionally well on a test, like Lisa did in DABF20 (Bart vs. Lisa vs. the 3rd Grade).) Compare this to my note on 3F02 below.
2F06 (Homer Bad Man): One of Rock Bottom's corrections reads, "The older Flanders boy is Todd, not Rod." According to Lisa's bedtime story in 4F13, "robot Rod" is two years older than "robot Todd", meaning that the older Flanders boy is Rod, not Todd.
3F02 (Bart Sells His Soul): At Uncle Moe's Family Feedbag, Rod celebrates his "big ten-oh" with Million Dollar Birthday Fries. If Bart is ten as well, and _Todd_ is in Bart's class in 8F16, the only way to avoid a continuity error is to show that Rod and Todd are twins (and yes, one would be slightly older than the other even if this was the case, and yes, maybe Rod was sick and couldn't make it to class in 8F16). But then, "robot Rod" would be two years older than "robot Todd" in 4F13, thereby breaking continuity in those three episodes.
4F13 (My Sister, My Sitter): Lisa tells a bedtime story about two robots named Rod and Todd. Robot Rod is two years older than robot Todd, despite the fact that 2F06 shows that the older Flanders boy is Todd, not Rod. I think it's actually meta-humour (yes, I use Canadian spelling) when Todd says he doesn't like this story, so my theory is that Rod and Todd are both 10-year-old twins, and that Todd is a few minutes older than Rod. Any ways to poke this theory? Please tell me.
Another thing I noticed: In episode 9F08 (Lisa's First Word), both Rod and Todd are alive before Lisa is, and that Rod and Todd look almost the same throughout, so this supports the fact that they are both twins about the same age as Bart.
The reason I think that Todd was in class in 8F16 might have something to do with the fact that his parents thought that Springfield Elementary School is wicked (for example, they think dice are wicked in 4F13), but SES used the buddy system (a la DABF20), so Todd could substitute someone who skipped school for some reason. This would explain why this is the only time he's ever been seen in this school. (It would also poke Duff Man's theory that Rod and Todd were in classes separate from Bart's and Lisa's.) Same deal with Todd's violin solo in 7F06. And yes, Rod and Todd have been given in by Bart before (recall 8F11 (Radio Bart), when they think he's God, and bring cookies to the front porch?) Why wouldn't they give in now? (After all, it _would_ be a sin to do that to God, even if he does say that. I think it was a test of faith myself.)
Anything to poke my theory would be greatly accepted. I worked pretty hard to get all this info.
