I'm not seeing how to access any commentaries for the DVD for the 1st season. (My DVD player is in my pc- RealMagic software. I don't have a remote for it.)
all I see is the eps on disc 1 and 2... "extra features" just shows 3 scripts... I see on various websites though that there are commentaries on each ep.

Go to the language section of any given episode's menu, and select the commentary track from there.
yup, there they are! I had a rental without any instructions...

That caught me out too - it's not exactly an obvious place to find them!
DVD software varies...on mine (windvd) if you right-click in the general picture area, you get a huge selection of things...in the middle of it on mine (and probably similarly for yours) is an Audio selection...choose it and another menu shoots out, then select the English at the bottom ,that should be the commentary. It's pretty useful for quick switches, rather than going back to the menu and using "resume."
