More back story episodes. Why has Marge's father never been explored? There's a wealth of stuff you could do on minor characters like this, and it would probably be a bit more satisfying than Simpsons family member X going on crazy adventure/landing crazy job Y.

I, for one, would like to see a back-story about Carl, Homer's mysterious assistant in the Minoxydil episode. You know, the one where Homer got hair and was promoted.
And surely they could get Danny Devito back to do another Herb story.
I'd like to see Herb return to The Simpsons too.
