Episodes 300 & 301 were great!!

I thought episodes 300 & 301 were both very well done, brilliant social satire..i found myself laughing out loud at times, which hasn't happened in a while. Bravo to the writers! (and to the rest of the staff!)

I've read some of the reviews in this newsgroup and i can't believe how critical people are of these episodes. admittedly, episodes in recent years have been hit & miss, but some recent episodes have really seen a return to form. after over a decade on the air, it just can't have the same impact it once did (where've you heard that before?), but this Sunday's episodes were among the best i've seen in a long time. Funny, touching, and revolving around the relationships of the primary characters, not resorting to ludicrous plot twists and such.

am i the only one?

I wasn't critical of Season 13. Hell, I think I was probably far more passive when it cames to reveiws then most of this newsgroup. I think Season 13 was some of the best work since Groening's departure.

No, it's just written for middle schoolers now.

Bart divorces his parents, parties with Tony Hawk, and Homer wins him back by doing a skateboard trick.

Well I think this season started out pretty bad with episodes like How I Spent My Strummer Vacation, Large Marge, Helter Shelter, and the Sideshow Bob one, but the last 5 episodes or so have really impressed me.
