My favorite signature bit of trivia is that the "Baby Ruth" candy bar is named after Ruth Cleveland, President Grover Cleveland's granddaughter. You'd be suprised how many highbrows think it is named after Babe Ruth (Sports Illustrated, for one).

As far as I know, narc can be used as a verb meaning "rat someone out" or it can be used as a noun in referring to a narcotics agent or someone who might snitch on your grow room.

I think "nark" has been used for a few hundred years, so when narcotics officers started narking, it was only natural to call them "narcs." An odd confluence.
