Springfield High School?

Is there a Springfield High? Has it ever been mentioned? Is that where Homer and Marge went?

Not only was it mentioned, they even have an air hockey table! ...but no oil well. (2F16)

It's been mentioned numerous times.

I'd assume it's where Homer and Marge went, but the only garunteed mention of the word "high school" that I can remember was in the Run Lola Run knock-off episode... when Lisa says "Will I ever see you again?" I believe the reply was "Someday... at the amalgamated highschool... now go..."

For non-Americans out there - magnet high schools are usually in larger cities. Theyare public high schools which don't take their students based on where they live, but because of some sort of aptitude or interest on the part of the student. Typically, there is an academic acheivement/merit magnet school for smart and/or hard-working students whose parents can't afford to send them to private schools. So, yes, Lisa will definitely be there, if she ever grows up... But there are also magnet schools for other reasons, some times - Philadelphia has one for academics, an all-girls academic magnet, a science and engineering; as in NYC, there's also one for the arts, � la Fame. -AM

Several in NYC, High School for the Performing Arts (the "Fame" school). Stuyvesant, Bronx HS of Science & Brooklyn Polytech are all heavy science oriented schools which have a difficult entrance exam. IIRC there's also a HS for the Visual Arts. Probably others too. They're all very competitive.

I'm too lazy to go to snpp.com, but there was an episode where Marge and Homer go to their High School reunion. Homer wins a bunch of awards ("least distance traveled to attend"), which he is then striped of since he never finished high school. Of course there is the Marty Zimple (?) episodes where scenes at the high school is shown.

Not only do they mention Springfield High School, but that's where "The Way We Was" takes place, when Homer and Marge met in high school. They have an old building and a new building and a forensics team.
