SNPP ep guide question: Why do they..

Always throw little sayings and comments into th eepisode summaries? I've gotten used to it to the point of kinda forgetting about them, but they just caught my eye again? What's the reason for 'em, anyone know??

(Wiggum voice) "Example":

This is one of my favorite aspects of the Episode Capsules. I like that you can get a little bit of editorializing from the capsule's author, rather than it just being a dry collection of text.

I think that's probably the main reason for it... just to give the capsule a little "flavor."

Mainly because the people who type out the capsules are inbred arseholes; they think they are witty enough to add their own lines to the great quotes written by ACTUAL WRITERS. These people are the very same who criticize The Simpsons' writers time and again. yet they add those stupid, unfunny, pathetic lines to the transcripts. Imagine if these useless wankers were given the chance to write a Simpsons' episode??!! The Simpsons would be well fucked.

I did a google and read some 1992-93 episode reviews... it's sad to find out, yet again, that this NG is riddled with some truly despicable, brainless idiots. These guys were trashing the series way back in 1992 already!!! I wonder if they ever liked a single Simpsons' episode.

Usually I don�t feed the trolls but let me reply just in short to that. I don�t like new seasons but I�m a big fan of SNPP, which is IMO still the best OFF website because it concentrates on information and not on useless stuff.

The people who type and maintain all the capsules deserve IMO the respect of the entire Simpson fan community for their work. I sometimes don�t agree with certain things in capsules (for example with the IMO way too friendly reviews in recent seasons) but I always enjoy to read them and too see that people use their time to collect information for all the other fans. I like the quote remarks, they show that people work creatively and don�t just type the quotes and lines without further thoughts about the content.

Some people and especially trolls just don�t understand what active fandom means and prefer to live in a world where everybody says "Hooray for Everything". Criticism and own comments and the entire capsule work are examples for active fandom.

I think it's pretty cool. I always thought the capsule writers did that in case someone decides to use the quote as a signature. The comments help explain the quote to those that aren't familiar with it.
