I think that the reason Troy McClure isn't seen in Springfield anymore is because, contrary to popular belief, his movie, The Fantabulous Contraption Professor Horatio Something-something actually DID pay off and now he's once again rich, famous, and living in Hollywood.

P.S. Don't me letters telling me that the real reason is because the great Phil Hartman is dead. I already know that.
