does anyone know how much longer the simpsons are *guranteed* to stay on the air (new episodes)? i had heard that the staff has been signed into finishing this season, and then one more. this isn't counting the possibility of extensions ... i'd be interested to know how much longer new episodes would be churned out if all present contracts were the *last* ones.

Yes, but I think the original poster was asking how many more seasons we KNOW we're going get -- i.e., how many more (as he said) are guaranteed ... no doubt.
