Is the music reminiscent of Harold Faltermeyer's "Axel F" an Alf Claussen original, or just a rearrangement of "Axel F"? And that's appeared in another epsiode, but I can't remember which one. (For those who don't know the song "Axel F", it's from the first "Beverly Hills Cop" movie, and in DABF03 is the music played when Homer and Apu are at Lard Lad Donuts.

Maggie apparently doesn't like the fudge toaster treats, but seemed to want the sugar water at the end?

The "Where's Springfield?" Debate redux:

In "Behind the Laughter", the "real" Simpsons were supposedly from northern Kentucky. Homer refers to Tennessee as "south of the border", which is the state immediately south of Kentucky.

Generic Businesswoman appears again and isn't named.

Yeah, but in the originally aired version (non-syndication) they said northern Missouri and in syndication, they changed it to Kentucky. But I don't doubt some link to that reference.

Perhaps they change that in syndication as well...

That part was an Axel F ripoff (I forget when this part was in the ep), but the part where Wiggum is chasing Homer in a boat was pure Miami Vice theme.
