If anyone out there still plays good ol' DooM2, I created a total conversion patch file years ago with fully animated sprites, sounds, interactive texture maps and music. I haven't been able to post it because I couldn't remove all the original Id elements, but a friend of the Simpsons is currently cleaning it up so it can be made available to the public. Let me know who's interested, and I'll keep you updated. It's a beautiful job if I do say so myself. [email]
DOOM2 Simpsons wad
I had a Simpsons Doom2 a long time ago. Was pretty funny. Probably the one you created.
I'll definitely take it if you've cleaned it up further.
I am interested. How big of a file would it be? My hotmail email box is really small.
Please go ahead and post your DooM wad!
There are lots of partial texture replacement mods out there, and there no use in getting the wad if you don't have DooM installed (with all the iD textures on it anyway.
So, what DooM port do you prefer? I reall like ZDooM myself...

Please do NOT post your doom wad, this is not a binary group. Please link it on a website or put it on an anonymous ftp site.

Sorry..that's what I meant. Pleas post it on alt.binaries.doom, or post a link to your website here.
Sorry all! :)

My associate working on the wad file informs me that progress is slow, but steady. He was able to create a website with preview images for those of you who can't wait to see it. Check it out at: http://waltersgameboy.tripod.com/simpdoom/ Keep an eye on this newsgroup for info as it develops. He plans on posting the wad on cdrom.com, I think. My unedited version was 6mb compressed, but I'm sure it'll be much smaller after all the junk is removed. [email]
Oh man, that is just awesome. I can't wait to play it...

Actually, the one I had the most fun creating was Barney. He replaces that little squatty pink bulldog looking thing that runs up and chomps you. Except Barney just belches in your face. And you can't really tell from the demo pics, but Bart replaces the tall, boney thing that shoots fireballs, but I fully animated Bart firing his slingshot at an enemy. It's great to use the "ghost cheat" and just hide in a wall and watch the sprites go at eachother! [email]
