And in tho-o-ose days nickels had pictures of bumblebees on them. ``Gimme five bees for a quarter'' you'd say.

Well, I did wear a dress for a period during the 40's. Oh, they had designers then!

Wouldn't it be nice.. if only he could remember it.

"It all started back in diddly-six. We had to say diddly because the Kaiser had stolen our word for 20."

"It all started back in the old country, I don't remember which one exactly. My father would drone on and on about America. 'See this son, this is where we're going to live, maybe not today, maybe not tomorrow, but some day.' Later that day we set sail for America."

"I got lots of spankin's in my day. Grover Cleveland spanked me on two non-consecutive occasions."

"It all started in the second world war two."

LMAO. Think of all the memories... floating around, somewhere in there... ahh well, they're gone forever. W.R.

I think it would make for a cool THOH episode... He could sit in the treehouse with Bart and Lisa (like B and L were in the first THOH) and start to tell a story of one of his Halloweens as a kid and it would all go crazy and stuff. I think that'd be cool...

Abe: Your ignorant! That's the Wright brothers plane! At Kitty Hawk in 1903, Charles Lindbergh flew it 15 miles on a thimble full of corn oil! Singlehandedly one us the Civil War, it did!

Bart: Wow Grandpa, how do you know so much about American history?

Abe: I peiced it together, mostly from sugar packets.

Yes they really do not explore that mans character adequately. Are we to believe that just because people age that they do not matter any longer. We need to explore and dig deep into this wonderful elderly mans past and answer the ultimate question: Who is Abraham Simpson?

Now, my story begins in 19-dickety-two. We had to say "dickety" 'cause that Kaiser had stolen our word "twenty". I chased that rascal to get it back, but gave up after dickety-six miles...
