I don't know if there is a prohibition against alcohol among Quakers. I do know Nixon is used as an example of a less than stellar Quaker. Though, I was reading somewhere recently that during WWII, even members of the traditional peace churches, that includes Quakers, went to war, somehow wavering from the pacifist standard because of that war. Which then maybe watered things down later.
