Say Anything: Information on the movie can be found at http://us.imdb.com/Title?0098258 . I remember the first time I saw this movie in junior high, and all the subsequent times I saw this with pretty much every girl I dated since Jr. High. Still, it is a timeless story of romance beating the odds (or something like that). I guess it also helped bring the sport of Kickboxing to the masses too! So, any of you teeny boppers out there who are looking for a good date movie this Friday (Valentines Day just so you know) should go rent this movie.

I also saw this link on slashdot.org, and I was disappointed that no "anonymous cowards" said that the previous Sunday's episode was in fact the 300th episode and not the one coming up in a week. Still, it is a pretty decent list.
(OT) King of the Hill: Tonight's episode was really interesting. I think that the show is really moving forward in its later seasons. One of the great things about the show is that the characters are really dynamic (at least for a cartoon) and are interesting. The picture of Bobby as a panda and John Redcorn as a Winger roadie are too sweet.

Review: As I mentioned earlier, I could not help but notice that King of the Hill seems to be on a forward progression over its 6+ seasons. The characters are changing, although slowly, and are growing. The Simpsons seem to go in more of a sinusoidal pattern. This definitely seems to be the case concerning religious episodes. What was once smart jokes about the non-Kosher-ness of what is in a Crusty Sandwich in [8F05] Like Father, Like Clown, has now turned into trite, borderline anti-Semitic jokes about Jewish people and their money. What was once smart writing of the modern religious issues and problems in the Church is now cheap jokes about speaking in tongues (is Flanders a Pentecostal now?) in an Old Testament environment. Yes, the literalism of Noah and Moses are a little more pleasing to the eye, but that means that someone has to try harder when writing a religious episode from a New Testament perspective. I did find a few things humorous in this episode, but not enough to get that yucky feeling I had in my stomach which I also had after watching [AABF14] Simpsons Bible Stories. At one time the Simpsons were supposed to be the All American Religious Family, but now all they can be is a collage of cheap religious iconography. Grade: C-
