Did they show Homer using Mr. Burn's syringe?

I just saw the ep in syndication and they showed Homer picking up the syringe, then the next shot was him carrying Marge up the stairs.

Wasn't the actual injection shown during the original airing?

In syndication, I think they show Burns shooting up the love serum...just in case the original poster was wondering if they cut out a scene like that due to a "drug reference".
