Bitchy, moany, whiney fan - One of the most common on this group. Usually is seen complaining about how the show's not as good as it used to be. Most of his/her bitchings are about surrealism in the show (oh, I suppose it used to be so realistic what with the characters being yellow and all), dirty jokes (yeah, like there weren't any before), and the amount of self-satire in the show nowdays (um, do the words "Bart Simpson balloon" mean anything to you?). They tend to be real smartypants who like to prove that they're smarter than the fans who like the kind of jokes they hate. And they tend to be named Chris.

Pissed off fan - A more extreme version of the above. This kind of fan is so sick of how the show has gotton, that he/she wants to kill Mike Scully. Sheesh.

Wuss fan - Another offshoot of the first one. This type has grown up thinking The Simpsons has always been a family show, and has now been disillusioned after watching the reruns. "OMG!! Sex! Ewwwww!! I thought this was a good clean show!". What a wuss.

Comic Book Guy type fan - The type of fan that gets parodied on the show. Basically acts....... like the Comic Book Guy.

Pervert Fan - The type that always wants naked pictures of 8-year-old Lisa. These people are sick. Why can't they ask for naked pictures od grown-up Lisa instead?

Fan Who Likes Everything - One of the most rare of fans, this type finds every single joke funny. Even panda rape. And I have no problem with that.

Sarcastic fan - My favorite type! When confronted with a post from a newbie/Pervert fan/troll, he/she responds sarcastically with an appropriate quote from The Simpsons.

Average fan - The rarest of the rare, this is the fan who says "Sure, it's not as good as it used to be, but it has its moments. It's still my favorite show."

Join us next week on Newsgroup Geographic as we look at the 8 types of Sailor Moon fans.

I fall somewhere between the "Fan who likes everything" group and the "Sarchastic fan" group

The 8 Simpsons "pervert fans" are the 8 sailor moon fans.

I guess you can tell that I am primarily a "sarcastic fan". But I am also a "fan who likes everything", except panda rape, and an "average fan". Sometimes, I am a "comic book guy fan".

The average fan is the rarest? I suspect someone doesn't know what average means. Also, self satire like a Bart balloon is fine in some small bits and doses, but you can go overboard with it. Also, it's a little different making fun of the popularity of the show 1 and a half seasons in than just having someone say "Mmm. That's good satire" because you can't think of good jokes.

Nah, the extremes are off-setting... the average of 0 and 100 is 50...

Give me a break. That isn't how you use average in this kind of statement. This isn't a mathetimatical sequence, it's a description of people, so average should be the usual or norm.

In school, I learned that everyone's above average, regardless of how well you do at anything. Clearly, "average" can't be the usual or norm - what a sad world that would be.

This shows a clear misunderstanding of what us "bitchy, moany, whiny fans" actually bitch, moan and whine about.

I agree. There's a difference between having genuine complaints and bitching. Certainly, genuine complaints on a loss of quality can be presented in a bitchy manner, but because an opinion differs doesn't neccessarily mean the person is a "bitchy, moany, whiney fan."

I'll quit my bitching now.

- Your post is the very definition of pointless, son. Secondly, here's a little grammar tip, you shouldn't start a sentence with "and". If you wanna play the spelling/grammar mistake game, I bet I could read a few of your posts and have a fucking field day, you dumb asshole.

Quite, but I don't see how the sentence can't look a little better _without_ the word "and" at the start?

  • You're a dipshit.

2. You can start a sentence with "and", "but", or "because", and it is still proper english. It isn't always recommended, but that doesn't mean it's a mistake.

3. I don't give a shit if you go and reread all my old posts. If that's how you want to spend your time, go ahead.

4. This post was an allusion to your other post. You misspelled jockey in both posts, but you were apparently much more agitated in the other post, with quotes like "FUCK!!! what a dog ass episode!!!". That makes a lot of sense.
