Aww, that was really nice and also funny. Homer's plot (ignoring the usual not-working-at-SNPP sort of stuff) felt natural - like the explanation for his gift for hairstyling, and the way he ditched his customers at last (especially with at least one attempt at doing so before). An interesting bit of romantic tension with Milhouse and Lisa (plus theremin!), too. The only things that felt kind of stupid were Bart somehow getting into Lisa's painting and Milhouse's random eagle rescue (after such a nice moment).
DYN: ...along with the Edward Scissorhands theme, Homer first uses gardening shears to style Patty and Selma (as opposed to Edward's scissors to first style topiary)? ...Homer's "will return" clock sign is set to the aesthetically standard 10:08? ...Sarah Wiggum and Lindsay Naegle somehow sound off, despite their actresses being on cast, along with Manjula (not Jan Hooks) and... ...LUNCHLADY DORIS again? Ugh. So close to the last one! ...Kristen Schaal as Taffy? (I couldn't place it at first - but it's funny with Bob's Burgers being such a big hit now)

-Homer tries to "commit Barbicide" (drink it to presumably kill himself); just this Monday, Will Ferrell made a recurring gag out of drinking this while removing Conan O'Brien's beard!
-I am not familiar enough with the Edward Scissorhands theme/score to know if the theme used tonight was a soundalike or the real thing. But the real thing was written by (Simpsons theme composer) Danny Elfman.
-On American Dad tonight (6AJN05, Home Wrecker), Roger pointed out a "load bearing candy cane" in his gingerbread house. I doubt that phrase has been heard much outside BABF21.
