Is this a (gasp!) continuity error?

I've been watching the 2nd season of The Simpsons, and I think I may have found a slight continuity error. In "War of the Simpsons", Homer says that he & Marge had a party with all those religious people and music, etc., which Marge notes was their wedding. Yet, in later episodes, it's noted that they got married at a Quiki-Wed and had an ice cream cake afterwards, not a party. Is there someone that I can ask for clarification of this? :)

Actually, my real question is: when were the music videos (Do the Bartman and Deep, Deep Trouble) shown? I don't recall seeing them on TV, but then again, it's been years since they were made.

Good point. I didn't notice that continuity error, but that is just one among several. A lot of ideas, especially in the early seasons, changed or got dropped. Most of the time this is probably due to a writer's forgetfulness ;)

Both videos were shown during Season 2 I believe, which explains why it's on the dvd set. They each aired directly after an episode... the opening and possibly a small amount of a scene got cut to allow enough time for the music videos.

I'm sure I am wrong but I seem to remember "Bart the Daredevil" and "Bart's Dog Gets An F" being the two episodes.

More than likely, the writers just aren't as anal retentive as those trying to turn the Simpsons into a religion with canon, etc.

The Simpsons is a great cartoon in the same tradition as the classic Warner Bros. or Fleischer's.

And, after all, we rewrite our own personal histories all the time. :o)
