The Simpsons doesn't seem so funny after watching alot of Family Guy. Has anyone else noticed this effect?

Helps explain why the Simpson's crew doesn't like Family Guy.

Not unless you come from a parallel universe where "Family Guy" is actually funny, or watchable.

What's to explain? Family Guy is a horrible, unfunny show that ripped off half of its "jokes" from "The Simpsons" while failing to understand what made them funny in the first place.

That's how the show started out, but it did improve quite a bit toward the end. Still not in the same league as Futurama, though.

Some friends of mine would only watch Futurama on Adult Swim when it came before Family Guy, as it seemed less funny coming after FG. I attribute that mostly to their not enjoying Futurama as much anyway (from the science/math/sci-fi angle).

Though I like all three shows very much (though some particular episodes of OFF/FG are never quite as funny as the rest to me), or perhaps because of it, I have not really noticed this same syndrome affecting me.

It probably has a lot to do with pacing...

The rhythm of the Simpsons/time between delivery of jokes (at least the recent new ones) is slower than Family Guy.

Listerine has more alcohol than champaign, but I think those who
drink Listerine are somewhat different from those who drink champaign.

Speaking of boats, do you use an electric or gas trolling motor?

Well Fry claims to have gotten wasted on it once before he traveled forward in time, in a Futurama episode (I forget which one). I saw an article from an Anchorage, Alaska paper stating that the really down and out skid row types buy generic Listerine for about $1.60 a liter - it's over 50 proof. Cheap Vodka tases like kerosene anyway so why pay $8 in taxes for the same jug of poison?
