Well I think the topic speaks for itself. Take a look at http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/B000067DNE/104-9092393-1797510 . It says this title is not in production yet, but it does list it, and that might mean it will be released quicker than the 2nd season was. Unfortunately, it says "1989" as the year this season was made. Gotta at least give Amazon credit for listing this future release, even though they got the year wrong ;)

They got the year wrong because they're clutching at straws...........there is no Simpsons 3 series release planned for the foreseeable future, Amazon are just trying to steal a march on their rivals.

It was also reasonable to assume Season 2 would be out by last Christmas in Region 1 (according to an interview with Al Jean that I read somewhere and common speculation), but we all see how well that turned out. I figure Feb or March 2003 for Season 3 is more reasonable (note: I'm basing the preceding statement on nothing). But, maybe I'll be pleasantly surprised and be watching season 3 around Christmas :).
