It's hard for me to dislike a Lisa episode, and indeed I found this to be a good entry in that department. Aside from the whole musical angle, I also liked the way she felt bad for leaving some animals behind (like she herself wasn't chosen - at least that's how I saw it). But that part also led the episode out of believability, straight to the end, with the goofy animal park instead of surgery for Bart; so I wasn't thrilled with that. I did, on the other hand, like the execution of the noise war - go figure. Well, till next time...
DYN: ...there was an unusual amount of 3D work in the couch gag? ...Marge pronounces "zoological" as a 4-syllable word? ...Wile E. Coyote apparently was drumming for Bart at the end? (What was that about, and why not just Lisa?)

Meta-references Lisa is surprised that the two plots intersected, and then Homer does something wacky. Jazz musicians Krusty introduces include "Sketch Friendly," "Shaky Premise," and Richard Sakai, among others. And George Meyer (right?) appeared in caricature somewhere too.
Other note Producer Larina Jean Adamson was also listed as "also starring" tonight; what voice did she do, the animal shelter woman? Hmm...
