advantage of being able to "cross the line" with a few things,
which is a nice change from yet another "everybody goes

GOOFS / FREEZE FRAME / WHATNOT The painting says it is inspired from "Moby-Dick". Although the original story does not put a hyphen in "Moby-Dick", the original title (changed from "The Whale") apparently does.
When Lisa reads the novel from the printout, all of the pages are blank. (Yes, the holes are missing and the edges are smooth, but you can buy paper where you can detach the holes and you can hardly tell it was done on computer paper; my brother was once accused of not writing his own paper once because he used some of this and the teacher, not noticing the very small perforations on the sides, thought it wasn't computer paper, so it must have been photocopied.)
Tom Clancy's Navy hat was black with black letters on a white label, rather than blue with yellow letters.
The pencil in Marge's ear while she was writing disappeared when Homer came home in the ambulance.
WHAT WAS THE JOKE WITH THOMAS PYNCHON ABOUT? William Poundstone put it best: "There are more, and clearer, photos of Bigfoot than there are of Thomas Pynchon." (This is why he's wearing a paper bag - so people won't even know what an animated version of him looks like.) Actually, most reports I've seen about him make him out to be as outgoing as the next guy (he's even been seen taking his son to school) - as long as you don't take his photograph.
