- Is it just me who noticed that The "New Simpsons" has become a show that the "Old Simpsons" used to parody? It's so formulaic and juvenile now. Who, over the age of 10, finds blood rushing from Homer's skull funny? Who finds Homer beeing electrocuted funny? I don't. This show sucks so hard now... the "Old Simpsons" writers should kill the new writers for tarnishing what was once a great show.

If you can't criticise constructively, please don't bother attempting to criticise in the first place. Blood rushing from Homer's skull? Gee, I must have missed that episode. And as someone has said, Homer has been humiliated for the sake of laughs ever since the start of the show. He didn't sit around discussing Wittgenstein over a game of backgammon, you know.
And 3-9 is NOT the classic period. Season 9 sucks, and has more Homer humiliation, blood, farts and wackiness than either season 13 or season 14. Plus, season 9 had truly dreadful characterisation, particularly Homer & Lisa (thankfully this damage has been somewhat repaired in the last couple of seasons). Season 2 on the other hand is very nearly the best season ever (season 3's just better, I reckon).
The simpsons still has its moments. Anybody can find something funny in almost every episode. The show does and always did appeal to both kids and adults.
