What job(s) does Ned do?

So far I've noticed the Leftarium (sp) and selling books over the internet. But I think I remember other jobs, like something to do with Maternity work?

He left the pharmaceutical biz in 7F23, but doesn't say what he actually did. Whatever it was, he wore a tie daily, so it could have been pharmacist or something, but it seems like Ned could have done better.
