Greetings from Ohio, official TOH election problem state! In short... Transformers: OK, but really short (it was nearly over by the time the credits finished!); Dead-vertising: a bit dumb and annoying, reminiscent of DABF19's "...Scare Harms"; Grand Pumpkin had a more enjoyable concept, even if it's close to some other bits, and as a spoof of the Peanuts special worked pretty well without shoving things in our faces too much (I also have to admit I'm not sure I've ever seen the whole original). Not the best TOH, but beats last year's.
DYN: ...non-TV created/developed by credits, like last year? ...Christmas and Thanksgiving both play a pretty big part in this TOH? ...none of the dead celebrities (that I noticed anyhow) have guest- starred on the show? ...adults in the Peanuts segment (Marge's trombone notwithstanding)? ...Lisa wrapped in Milhouse's Linus blanket looks a lot like Maggie? ...all three stories involve revenge or attacks on humans generally? ...Marge's speech at the end is reminiscent of TOH I-V's opening disclaimers?

Credits Well, thank God, the season 20 trend of full credits does actually include some special ones (tonight's)! The music seemed fairly similar to a few recent TOH's, but not exactly so. I didn't go through every single name yet, but it seems like a number refer to the economy (Washington Mutual Jean) and the election (two cast members to Palin specifically: The Smith to Nowhere, Hockey Mom Azaria). Harry Shearer remains Harry Shearer. Like last year, there is no funny name for the "written by" credit; I wonder if there is a WGA rule that prevents it.
