African-American. He is clearly brown in the episode "Principal Charming". He gets paler in later episodes. Why did they change his color? Does he have that rare skin disorder that only Michael Jackson seems to have?

Well since he burrowed up from the ground, as moles are inclined to do, he was still covered with dirt in the first episode. Later he took a shower and his true sking color came out.
