Ehh. Somehow that was all just too hard to buy, even though it's got classic Simpsons social commentary and Springfield insularity. Just didn't do it for me, I guess, and I have actually seen The Social Network (unlike many other works used for full-plot parodies). Maybe it's because I have a headache. It might also be many of the stupid gags.

(a little more risque than usual) ...the laptop Homer buys is only of zero thickness in the store? ...the SES chat page has a puma logo that says "embiggen"? ...in the lab of obsolete computers, Lisa works on a (m)Apple LISA? ...another pair of Wilhelm screams (but at least again in the context of a game, not the Simpsons' world)? ...the stealth "diet of worms" joke in the extra story at the end?

No That was not the shortest act (act 3, at 1:47); NABF21's is still below it at 1:39. But whereas that had about 3 scenes, in this episode it was all one long scene plus a framing device.
Title The "d'oh" titles are starting to become far too common, but you know, this really isn't Homer's story. Meh.
Paging Don Football ran long... well, coverage did, anyway. On the east coast (Cleveland), the game was over by 8, but a short postgame show began at 8:00 anyway, and the episode began at 8:12.
Out of business -All the gift cards Marge throws out seem to be for places that have recently gone out of business (or their fake counterparts). I'm not sure what "Marvyn's" is supposed to be, though, and Barnes and Noble is still going (Borders on the other hand...). -Not part of this montage, but relevant, seems to be Lenny's breakfast joint (Drippin' Dots). Dippin' Dots filed for bankruptcy in November. -And take that, Ask Jeeves?
