Does anyone know why the composer of One-Note Samba/Little Spanish Flea "Little Spanish Flea"? Homer's rendition is absolutely hilarious.
Plus, who is the composer?

It was written by Julius Wechter, the marimba player for the Tijuana Brass. According to his wife, she is the one who wrote the words to i,t though many people assume the words were made up by the first band that actually sang them in their rendition of the song. I don't know why she had written words since the Tijuana Brass' version was obviously instrumental only. Homer's lyrics are the correct ones.
Interesting tidbit that I've mentioned before: Mr. Wechter died the day before "Sunday, Cruddy Sunday" first aired, one of the many episdodes (and the most recent) that features the song.

Also, "One Note Samba" and "Spanish Flea" are two distinct songs composed by different people. Sergio Mendes just played them together on one track in one of his albums (and I think some others, mimicking him, have done the same as well).
