Hi,
Has anyone had any problems with the Simpsons DVD? Things seemed to be fine, until I tried to play "Homer's Night Out", which resulted in a jumpy digital mess. The Crepes Of Wrath played at least, with the occasional jump in picture.
Anyone else had any problems?

I haven't tried that one yet, but, my disc 3 is totally messed up. If you look at the surface of the disc itself, it has bubbles and pits. The special features are inaccessible because the disc is unreadable at points. The third disc is also a different color than the first two. (discs 1&2 are a goldish color, while disc 3 is closer to a cd's color). I bought 3 sets of the DVD's. And *All* of them had this problem.
Does anybody else have this problem??

I have a problem with all three discs in a Toshiba SD2019 player. The picture would freeze about 2 to 5 minutes into any episode I played. The weird part is that my player would then get into a state where it could not load any disk (Simpsons or otherwise) until I shut it off for a while. This unit is in my office. I have the same model (bought earlier) in my home. The disks seemed to play fine there thankfully. I was able to play the disks fine in my PC's DVD player too. I also had access to 2 copies and they all had the same color and look of possible damage that you described.

Dual-layered discs are gold, single layer ones aren't. This is normal.
Ahhh...now I know, I wasn't really concerned with the color of the discs, I'm very concerned with the fact that there are .5" "bubbles" on the playing surface of the discs. Some of the discs are worse than others. I want to return them, but I have to wait for the next shipment.
My DVD player isn't the problem. I just wanted to know if everybody has this problem with bubbled and pitted discs, or if I just got a bad batch. Thanks!

Mine has worked fine,,although i've only watched the first two disks (i needed to take a break after 12 season 1 eps in a row). Maybe it's just your dvd player (i have a zenith,,pioneer's dvd players are supposed to be good as well).
After unsuccessfully trying to watch the 3rd disk, I pulled it out and noticed the exact same thing. There are weird 'pits' all over the disk. I guess there must have been some manufacturing problem in that batch.
I've bought and rented bunches of DVDs, but I've never seen that problem before.

I had the problems with disk three some people are describing. I exchanged it and all are fine now though. I also have the same toshiba someone else mentioned, and I havent had any problems with the new set.

I viewed the entire contents of disc 3 and didn't have any problems at all. I have an Apex DVD-CD-MP3-Blah-Blah player that holds 3 discs at a time.
