I had high expectations for tonight's episode, but I was still completely shocked at how great it was. It started off strong with the casino night, and I'm glad they resisted giving Ralph some forced, unfunny line in that scene when the opportunity was clearly there. The songs were good, especially the first, which successfully made me feel for Lisa and her cause. Milhouse and Willy provided some laughs and Homer was used enough to be funny, but not enough to become annoying. This was definitely one of the best in recent years, and so I give it a 10/10 (A+).

Lisa's makeover look resembles the appearance of former first lady, Jacqueline Bouvier Onassis. Best known as the wife of the late John F. Kennedy, her fashion and style set the standard for women in the 60's. When she wore a pillbox hat, much like Lisa's, to the inauguration ceremony on January 20, 1960, she inadvertently set off a pillbox hat craze and became the nation's fashion barometer for the next half decade. Her intellectual interests, which included classical music, collecting antiques and enjoying the works of Shakespeare influenced American culture as well. It is fitting that Lisa chose her attire to wear as she was such a great role model for young women all over the country. She died in 1994 from lymphatic cancer, but the impact she left on our society will not soon be forgotten.
"Fuddruckers", Marge's variation of everyone's favorite four-letter word is also the name of a fast food restaurant chain. It has locations across America and their slogan "World's Greatest Hamburgers" isn't far from the truth.
