Just remember, Bart is Evil, Lisa whines too much and is only supposed to be sympathetic like one episode a season (the bouvier gene), Homer is funnier when he's pissing everyone off, and Marge is just there to hold Maggie and drive Homer into extreme behavior and start complexes for Lisa and Bart. Everyone else is just there for them to bounce off of/ridicule/humiliate or embarrass. If you keep with those principles, you'll do just fine. Otherwise we have like character development of Reverend Lovejoy and another Rich Uncle Pennybags montage.
