Simpsons on UPN 44 in SF Bay Area

Howdy. Thought I'd post to this newsgroup to see if anyone knows anything about this: here we get syndicated Simpsons on local channel UPN 44. For the past several months, they've been stuck in a rut, repeatedly showing episodes from the 2003-2004 season over and over. I've seen some of these ten times in the last three months, no kidding. No other episodes at all. Since UPN shows the Simpsons three times per night, at 6, 7:30 and 10PM, this gets repetitious very quickly.

Has anyone else in the Bay Area heard anything about why? I called them myself and just got a recording telling me to leave a message. I did, but they of course never replied.

Ah yes, big channel 44 KBHK tv (formerly Kaiser Broadcasting). I remember how they would run Popeye cartoons, 3 Stooges shorts, and Warner Bros cartoons ad nauseum over and over the same ones. Sounds like nothing new there regarding your Simpsons problem. Business as usual.

And yet, there was one episode of "The Flintstones" that they never aired (the one where Fred buys a circus - I remember Dr. Don Rose mentioning that they would be airing it, but ended up airing one of the first-season episodes instead).

(Besides, you must not have been watching on Sunday mornings, when they aired the black-and-white Popeyes from the 1930s.)
